Coyote speaks
from beyond the hills
where all the voices
live together in a house
built by wind
and held together
by the mesh of
our imaginations
We are ignited
on a path reaching
to the horizon’s edge
where sound moves
into our muscles
and animates the
will to understand
the structure of howling.
